How To Use IGNBQ

Working on this page
Lots of new stuff in 3.0 I need to go over. Check back soon.

The options menu
To get to the options menu, go to Tools > Extensions > double click IGNBQ.

User colors
For IGN only. Log in at login.ign.com and then click the Pick button in the options menu. Pick your colors and submit them (the color picker here is modeled after the Photoshop CS color picker). Now everyone can see your colors and you can see theirs. When you turn User colors on they will be downloaded. From then on Firefox will download them when it first opens. You can also click the Refresh button next to Pick to update the colors manually. So after you pick your colors be sure to Refresh. Colors that have not been changed in 4 weeks will be deleted to remove inactive users; so you'll need to resubmit your colors from time to time.

Post caching
With this on when you try to make a topic or reply IGNBQ saves it. If something goes wrong, like you're not logged in, your reply will be waiting for you the next time you visit the reply page. Caches are deleted after a successful post (that is when you see the "Message posted page" and remember IGNBQ doesn't see background tabs so you'll have to actually see the page for the cache to be deleted). The Clear button will empy the cache. Caches are saved in your user prefs (about:config) under extensions.IGNBQ.cache.board_system.board_id.message_id where the emphasized text will be numbers and are URL encoded.
The board_system here is defined as:
IGN = 1;
VN = 2;
theforce.net = 4;
epicboards = 8;
brainboards = 16;
midway = 32;
Just so you know.

Jump to start
Turn this on and IGNBQ will jump down to the start post, such as when you click a post in someone's post history.

Auto TinyURL
URLs you enter that are too long for the boards to display can be converted to tunyurls. You will be asked if you want to or not.

Quoting
To quote a message click "IGNBQ Reply" under that message and then click the quote button (the stylized Q). You can also hightlight / select a part of the message you want to quote before clicking the quote button. There is an option to use "Outsider quoting" which removes all markup and wraps the quote is quotation marks and puts the message author's name under the quote. Polls can now be quoted.

Quick Edit
Quick edit lets you edit your post inside the thread. If it's the first post you can lock the topic. Works with polls and admin edits.

Colorpicker
To pick a color click the drop down menu and then either click on a color or type in a color name or a hex/rgb color value and hit return to set it.

Lists
The ordered / unordered list buttons have 3 behaviours in the plain text editor. Clicking a list button while not in a list of that type will add a list tag of that type and a list item tag in it. Clicking the button while in a list item tag will add a list item tag after the list item tag you're in. Clicking the button while in a list tag but not while in a list item tag will place a list item tag where your cursor currently is or around your current selection.
